Itinerary
In this jeep tour, you will visit the following attractions:
Day 1:
Lawrence's spring (where Lawrence of Arabia reputedly washed during the Arab Revolt. Has an attractive rock inscriptions on nearby rocks)
sand dunes ( A large area of sand dunes stacked against the mountains. Fun climbing to the top )
Khazali Canyon (deep, narrow fissure in the mountain side, containing many rock inscriptions )
Little rock bridge ( A bridge made of rock It is an act of nature that is easy to climb The view is stunning )
Lawrence's house (This place Lawrence House is actually an old Nabataean building which would have been some kind of base for them along the camel caravan route)
Mushroom rock ( Mushroom shaped rock formed by strong air to carve into the shape of mushroom)
Burdah Rock Bridge (Stunning natural rock arch, with great views )
Almahama Canyon (It is a canyon Between the mountains you can walk inside and take 25 minutes to finish it )
Um frouth Rock Bridge (Stunning natural rock arch, with great views, easy to climb )
Sunset in the white desert (Best location to watch sunset in Wadi Rum )
After watching a beautiful sunset we return to our Bedouin camp in the middle of the desert for a feast on 'Zerb' - a traditional Bedouin dish of chicken and vegetables cooked underneath the desert's sand, and a night under the Milky Way. Overnight in Wadi Rum. (Bedouin camp)
DAY 2 :
JEBEL UM AD DAMI DAY HIKE
After breakfast, we head south by 4x4 towards Jebel Um Ad Dami, Jordan’s highest mountain. The hike begins in a sandy valley at the base of the mountain. The first part of the ascent is steep and you will cross rocky terrain but it is not a technical climb and our guide will lead the way. It takes roughly 1.5 - 2 hours to reach the summit and you will be rewarded with breathtaking views across Wadi Rum, the Red Sea, and Saudi Arabia. After taking in the views, we descend to the base of the mountain and enjoy lunch in the shade. In the afternoon, we continue by 4x4 visiting the Bedouin cisterns and valleys where Bedouin still graze their goats and camels. The tour finishes around 4 pm at Wadi Rum Rest House.
Enjoy a delicious Bedouin-style lunch and cup of tea prepared on a bonfire in the desert during your jeep tour lunchtime to live the real Bedouin experience and learn some desert survival skills. Vegan and vegetarian lunch is available too.
